Published

on

The pandemic has taught everyone valuable life lessons, including financial ones. For example, employees, especially women, are finding it harder to re-enter the workforce after taking a break during a pandemic crisis. Many have been laid off during the lockdown period and never called back when things got back to normalcy. Therefore, instead of going office to office with a CV, only to be turned down, many women have decided to be their own boss and start a company. Being the CEO of a company gives you the opportunity to pilot your destiny without depending on others. Continue reading this article to learn more about women-led businesses’ benefits and why you should start one.

Equality

Never in the history of humankind have women held this much power in terms of financial freedom, political rights, and general role in society. Sure, women have a long way to go in order to achieve equality in society. The first step of true equality comes with financial freedom; women must not depend on men for their livelihood. It is only possible when women come forward and step into the roles of business owners. American Government recognizes women-owned companies and wants to promote such businesses. Woman owned business benefits include reduced federal taxes, mapping and promotion of the companies, and more.

  • Think of the future generation who deserve a more uniform world that does not discriminate against anyone based on gender or race. The young daughters of America need strong, independent businesswomen as role models. The young ones should aspire more than just securing a job; they must aspire to be leaders and not followers.
  • When one woman dreams big and opens her company, she creates opportunities for countless other women. Therefore, the plight of women, in general, is lifted to a higher position in terms of finances.

Re-entry Is Harder For Women

It is hard for anyone to re-enter the workforce after a long break. It is doubly difficult for women to re-enter the workforce at a certain age. Many women take a break from work during pregnancy and raise their children, and this break should not be considered a drawback. But most firms, run by men, show reluctance to rehire women who prioritize their home and kids.

  • A change in the perspective is necessary if one wants women to be part of the active workforce. Women-run businesses are more concerned about the safety and security of women, and they tend to respect the life choices of women. Therefore, many prefer working with a small women-run firm instead of joining a large corporation run by all men.
  • At times, the women-owned firms create a more flexible work format to help the working women maintain a work-life balance. The goal should be to create a society that provides equal opportunity to women to launch their businesses and get a similar level of success as their male counterparts.
