Refreshing thirst quencher: homemade iced tea

Homemade iced tea is a refreshing and healthy thirst quencher. Conventional iced teas from the supermarket can be real calorie bombs and are often sticky and sweet. This turbo iced tea is a particularly practical thirst quencher: 

  • Brew ten to twelve teaspoons of black tea with half a liter of water, let the tea steep and cool.
  • Pour the tea into ice cube trays and freeze.
  • Depending on your needs, you can then add one or two tea ice cubes to a glass of water for a quick, sugar-free iced tea.

Juice spritzer: A fruity thirst quencher

But you can also mix a thirst-quenching spritzer with tap water. It is best to mix the juice with water in a ratio of one to three. 

If possible, do not use fruit nectar or fruit juice drinks for your fruity thirst quencher. It is also not advisable to buy ready-mixed juice spritzers. They often contain a lot of sugar and additives. Direct juice with fruit pulp is best. When buying juice, also make sure that it is organic and regional. You can also make many juices yourself, for example apple juice. You don’t even necessarily need a juicer. 

Tap water in cool: Infused water as a healthy thirst quencher

The thirst quencher infused water is all the rage. Tap on, glass underneath – that’s how quickly you can get tap water. For the right freshness kick in the hot months, you can spice up tap water with refreshing ingredients. Infused water is the name of this drinks trend, which is great for using up leftovers from cooking.   • Lemon or lime slices
  • Fresh mint
  • Basil
  • Cucumber slices
  • Rosemary
  • Apple slices
